A common belief is that a referral service sends out its own crew. Here, that is not the case. When you reach out, you end up speaking with an independent provider in our network. That provider is a local business with its own staff, its own trucks and its own way of working.

What Happens on the Call

Expect a short, practical chat. The provider will usually ask:

• What pest or animal you think you have
• Where you saw it and when
• Whether you have seen damage, droppings or noises
• What type of home you live in, such as a Cape, a multi-family or an older house with a stone foundation

They may then offer an inspection time or give a rough idea of next steps. Availability depends on the provider and the season, so many providers can respond quickly, but nothing is certain until you hear it from them.

Have Your Notes Ready

Here is where your photos and notes pay off. Clear pictures and a few dated lines let the provider ask smarter questions. They can also tell you sooner whether the job sounds like routine residential pest control or something bigger.

What to Ask an Independent Provider

A lot of people think they should just say yes to the first quote. In practice, a few questions go a long way.

• Are you licensed for this work in New Jersey?
• What exactly will you inspect, and what will you treat?
• Will I get a written quote with the scope of work?
• What products or methods do you use, and are they safe around kids and pets?
• Is there a follow-up visit, and what does it involve?
• If animals are involved, how do you handle removal and sealing entry points?
• Can you help me document damage if I need to file a claim?

Costs vary a lot by pest, home size and how long the problem has gone on. Always get the price in writing.
